Looking for Home Audio CD Players? You found the right website! No... we are not selling anything, we just want to provide you with the latest up-to-date information on home audio cd players, so that you can make an informed decision.

We have created this site to advise you on the latest home audio trends. Take a look below.

Bose Wave
Bose Ah, Bose Wave. If you are looking for an ugly, crappy sounding system... keep looking, because Bose brings luxury and glorious sound to your home. This sleek looking system might appear small, but don't be fooled. The sound clearity is amazing, and it outperforms systems in the $1000s ranges.

But is it all that? Read the Pros and Cons below.

Pros:
  • Sound - Like I menteioned above, the sound is very clear and crisp. Even when you turn it all the way up, it plays distortion free.
  • Design - It doesn't take up much room, and is very good looking.
  • Customer Service - If you ever run into problems with your system, you'll be glad to know that Bose Customer Service is second to none.
  • MP3 Support - Yes it's a standart, and you pretty much expect it. But MP3 support is new to the Bose Wave system, and we're glad it's included.

Cons:
  • Small digital display It's a good display, but it's small. Sometimes hard to see, and there are no buttons, which brings us to the next point
  • Remote You must use the remote control because there are no buttons on the unit. And this can get annoying, especially if you lose your remote. I recomend getting a second remote when you order the system, so that you won't have to wait on a remote, if you ever lose yours.
  • No mixer - Yes we know the sound engineers at Bose are good, and their settings sound good... but I still like to be able to control bass and trebble, which this sytem won't let you

Conclusion
It's a great system, with phenomenal sound. If you want a premium counter top home audio cd player, the Bose Wave system is right for you. It's not perfect, but it's definetly a system to consider. Take advantage of the 30 day satisfaction guarantee. Go out and buy it, and if you are not happy return it... but I think you'll be happy.
Sony - EC99i
Sony The sony EC99i is an excellent system for the right price. Best bang for buck you'll find around town. Keep reading to to find out why.

Pros:
  • Sound - You get great price to sound ratio with this system. You can blast the music (that's when it performs best) Play anything from hip hop to metal, it'll sound great.
  • Subwoofer - It comes with a subwoofer for the pople that like the thump.
  • iPod Support - Just about everyone has an iPod (although I don't haha) and it integrates quite niceley.
  • Looks - It's just a mean looking system... just look at it.

Cons:
  • Display It's small and hard to see from far. Another con is that a clock isn't displayed when the system is off
  • Short Wires Sony could have made the wires a little longer.
  • No custom EQ - Yeah... seems to be a trend here, but just like the Bose you can't customize your equalizer.

Conclusion
The Sony EC99i is a great bang for your buck (also good bang from the sub). It's perfect for anyone that enjoys music, but doesn't like to pay too much.
Logitech Squeezebox Radio
Logitech A Radio? Yes... it's not a home audio cd player, it's a Radio. And it's selling like hot cakes and that is why I included it on this page. I can see why it's very popular. You can stream hundreds of radio stations (in many different languages) for free through your wifi.

Pros:
  • Selection - You get a huge selection of music after you sign up for a free account
  • Dislpay - Good looking, bright display, shows album covers.
  • Stream Music - If you don't want to listen to the radio you can stream your own music from your computer. The software is included.
  • 3.5mm audo jack - so that you can use an iPod or other mp3 player.

Cons:
  • Formats Obviously no CD support so that is a con... or is it? Nah, it is.
  • Alarm Clock - According to some people the alarm function is buggy, so i don't recommend this unit if you want to use it as an alarm clock... makes a great radio though! (and keep in mind that firmware updates can fix this)

Conclusion
The squeezebox plays hundreds of radio stations for free, it is easy to set up, and it sounds suprisingly good for its size and price. It's not a high end home audio system, but it's fun and looks good on your night stand.
